Join us on Monday 2 February 2026 at 5.30pm at the Society of Antiquaries for our 2026 Annual Lecture, which next year will be given by Sir Jonathan Marsden: “The Royal Collection in Three Dimensions”

For the 2026 Annual Alumni Reunion, our Guest Lecturer Sir Jonathan Marsdenwill talk to us about his newly published catalogue, European Sculpture in the Collection of His Majesty The King. In this special lecture for Attingham, Jonathan will compare the use and disposition of sculpture in the royal palaces and in country houses, and give us unparalleled insights into sculpture in the Royal Collection.

A Summer School alumnus (’93), Jonathan was Director of the Royal Collection and Surveyor of The Queen’s Works of Art from 2010 – 2017 and is known to many alumni, having lectured on twenty-one Royal Collection Studies. He is also a patron of The Attingham Trust and we are delighted that he is able to join us in February and share this lecture.

This special evening will also be a wonderful chance to reconnect with friends and colleagues over a glass or two of wine.
