Before joining Attingham as Executive Director in 2021, Helen was Senior Curator and Curator of French 18th-century Decorative Arts at the Wallace Collection, where she curated exhibitions and published on French eighteenth-century decorative art and collecting history. Her publications include Gilded Interiors. Parisian Luxury and the Influence of Rome, 1770-89 (London, 2017) and Jean-Henri Riesener. Cabinetmaker to Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette (London, 2020). She has taught at the universities of Oxford and Buckingham, and for three years was co-Director of the Attingham Summer School (2009-2012). She is a member of the Council of the French Porcelain Society and the Grants Committee of the Furniture History Society, and is a Trustee of the Leche Trust. She is also a member of the Reviewing Committee for the Export of Works of Art and a Trustee of the Gilbert Collection.
