Lorna has many years of experience in the conference and events field. Initially she specialised in large international conferences for Brighton Conference Office. This overlapped with a voluntary role with Brighton Festival Chorus, which among many other tasks included arranging regular travel for 100+ singers to rehearsals and concerts, both in London and Europe. Having obtained an MSc in Information Systems, for many years she was Membership Secretary for Sussex Archaeological Society, and was responsible for an active programme of events, including walks, talks and an annual conference for 200 people.

She joined The Attingham Trust in 2018 and was for 5 years the Coordinator of the Summer School (albeit somewhat disrupted by Covid). She has also organised several other shorter courses and is currently acting as maternity cover for the Attingham website, database and other IT areas.
