Annabel Westman, FSA
DIRECTOR EMERITA, THE ATTINGHAM TRUST
Annabel was Director of the Summer School from 1993-2005 and Executive Director from 2005-2021, during which time she directed several Attingham Study Programmes. She now runs the Attingham alumni events programme for The Attingham Society. Annabel is also an independent textile historian, lecturer and advisor on historic interiors for heritage bodies. For over forty years, she has researched and written extensively on the subject, including her book Fringe, Frog and Tassel (National Trust and Philip Wilson, 2019), and advised on numerous textile restoration projects for the National Trust, English Heritage, Historic Royal Palaces, national and regional museums and other organisations in Britain, Europe and the USA. She is a Trustee of the Stowe House Preservation Trust and a member of its interiors working group.
