PRIVATE MORNING TALK & VIEW
The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace
Thursday, 12 June 2025 from 09.00 – 10.00
A special private visit for the Attingham alumni has been arranged with the Royal Collection Trust to see The Edwardians: Age of Elegance. The talk and private tour will be given by Kathryn Jones, Senior Curator of Decorative Arts and curator of the exhibition.
In an age renowned for its spectacular opulence and glamour, this newly-opened exhibition examines the family lives and tastes of two of Britain’s most fashionable royal couples – King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and King George V and Queen Mary. The visit will provide a rare opportunity to view over 300 objects drawn from the Royal Collection, many on view for the first time. They include works by Carl Fabergé, Frederic Leighton, Edward Burne-Jones, Laurits Tuxen, John Singer Sargent and William Morris.
The cost of the visit is £39.50. Closing date for booking: 25 April 2025
In the event that this visit is oversubscribed there will be a ballot.
Members will be notified if they have a place by 2 May 2025.
It will be possible to continue your visit after the private tour when the exhibition opens to the public.
